Work-from-home ideas

I know other folks have touched on this, but just in case there are some new ideas out there...
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to track down a 'legitimate' work-from-home opportunity?
Another "late bloomer" to the site

I've just become a SAHD in the last six months or so, watching after our five-year-old son that we adopted from Ethiopia almost two years ago. I spent the last few years in the aviation industry (haven't left it, completely) - big change from the cockpit & the office to playdates & Spongebob!
Just found your site (don't know what took me so long) - looking forward to learning & sharing!

There IS NO DOUBT that if you stay at home with your kid(s) you love them and you love the whole aspect of it. With that said-it can still be a huge stresser. I have a 3, 5 and 7 year old. I love kids, but I never saw myself as a stay at home dad. Unfotunately an accident in the Army meant a much earlier than expected exit into medical retirement. There are huge benefits to staying at home. But!
unemployment benefits

my wife brought up the question last night about whether or not i can file for unemployment. i told her i didn't think so since I left my job on my own accord. does anyone know what the requirements are? i would think that you'd only get it if you are laid off, not if you decided to quit your job to stay at home with your child.
cherrio obsession

hey, are any other of your children out there obsessed with cherrios? my kid can't get enough of them. i think these things are worth their weight in gold. i'm finding them all over the house. they certainly can distract her from things i don't want her to have. i'm starting think she's stashing these things for a rainy day.
lawyer group subscription??

i thought you were asking us to post what our wives did for a living. i did that, and then i got back a message from this site that said my subscription was denied. what in the world is that all about? did i just get left out of some kind of exclusive club cause my wife's not a lawyer or something? ha ha
first day as sahd

not sure if you guys will remember me. i posted a while back about considering to be a sahd. well, i did it. yesterday was my last day in the corporate rat race, and today is my first official day as a sahd. my first thought when i woke up this morning was, "god, what have i committed myself into?" along with a slight feeling of panic. i know that this is the best thing for our my wife, myself, and my 1yr old daughter, but it's hard getting used to the idea. my wife makes a great income as a PA, so money really wasn't the issue. we wanted a better family life.

new sahd to be

i'm getting ready to leave work to become a stay at home dad. i'm not sure what to expect. i'm excited that my wife and i won't have to juggle schedules and home life will be much better, but should i be worried about losing a part of myself? i've been in the work force since i was 18 and now i'm 34. any advice is appreciated
NC Dads Summit
so i'm toying with the idea of hosting a NC dad summit.
my wife works ate a hotel and can get some cheap rooms for those who might want to stay over.
what i am thinking about is a saturday with a couple of informal sessions (hotel), a cookout (my place one mile away) and then general dad bid-ness(bar/hotel bar whatever).
interested parties comment or email me is desired and i'll get the ball rolling...
how to define sahd?
I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to be a SAHD. Mostly I have to convince my wife. I'm ready to drop out of the rat race based on the office politics and current job markets.
How does everyone define a SAHD? Is it strictly someone who stays home with their kids, no daycare, doing all the "stuff" around the house? Or are their hybrids with some daycare, house work, and some freelance/part time work? Are hybrids accepted by most everyone? Or are there "purists" who only consider someone a SAHD if there is no daycare, etc?
