The internet is great, but I’m wondering if anyone belongs to a local SAHD group. What are the pros/cons and do you find it worthwhile to meet with SAHDs in person?

The kids and I did this last week. It was a good excuse to sugar them up a little. It helps that I'm a videographer on the weekends, but I just shot this on my DSLR camera, rather than my pro gear. It was a piece of cake and so much fun to put together. Let me know if anyone wants further tips on doing this yourself.

This morning we had an organizational meeting with 10 at-home dads here in Des Moines. We're putting up a website to begin getting the word out at http://DesMoinesDads.com. Someone with six years experience as an At-Home Dad stepped up to get things organized. I had hoped when I came back from the National Convention to try to gather a few people together. Life was more challenging than I anticipated. I am pleased that someone else gave the time and energy to pull this together.
