Something irrelevant...
I thought we needed a totally irrelevant poll for no particular reason. This is one of those total mystery things...for all the men in the world and all the shaving they do, you never really hear anything about frequency of blades changes. Yeah, I suppose it's personal based on shaving frequency and whisker load (and maybe whatever Dad taught us all those years ago), but I'm curious about it for no particular reason.
Currently, I change my 5-blader (I can't keep track of what they are called) about once a month, shaving every other day (one of the job perks of being an AHD!), reasonably heavy whisker load. I find that I can go to almost 6 weeks, but inevitably the razor seems to a fast die-off and the shave gets uncomfortable, so I tend to change before that happens.
As I've succumbed to the marketing department at Gillette over the years going from 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 blade razors, I have found that I change them less often. Partly because they seem to last longer, partly because they now cost so damn much. I suppose the current 5 blader is in fact cheaper per blade than the 2 bladers I once used and probably cheaper per shave since I use them longer, but man it hurts to buy that $30+ pack at Coscto of an imminently disposable item....and I definitely can't stomach paying nearly $15 for a measly 4 or 5 pack at the grocery store.

razor blades
that shit is expensive and they keep "inventing" new blades to extort money from me. it's a conspiracy i tell you.
Chrome and red dome!
I'll go with the every month answer, even though the Gillette Fusion's say change every three months. You ever try shaving your dome with a dull razor?
Although I have had the opposite problem shaving my head. I got one that was either too sharp or it had a burr somewhere on the blade. One swipe across the top of my head and I thought I was showering in red Kool-aid.

Wear a beard
Have to trim it every couple of weeks. Haven't shaved in 26 years.
1 package of Gillette Fusion per year
I don't need to shave more than 1 per week, 2 times for especial occasions and 3 times when visiting or been visited. When my 2 yo son kiss my face he does say "itchi"
