just some feedback - in the groups menu (left-side nav bar), i like that there's a link to the website (as an option). Could we move it to the top of the list? And also, could we make it open in a new window?
i wanted to see what it looked like to someone new to the site - that wasn't logged in, and see what the user experience was like joining a group....
some thoughts...
I came to the site. created a new account. all very easy. no problems there. then decided to look at the local groups. it was VERY EASY to get to and find a local group. I love the fact that there was even a dedicated box that says... "youre not in a local group, find one" (okay, I paraphrased). Clicked, and discovered a list of groups. GREAT. Then I clicked on the groups. the calendar was difficult to locate. my instinct (and I assume most other dads' instincts would be the same) was to look at the calendar to see what was going on after reading the group's description. The only option in the left-hand nav bar was to subscribe. ONLY after I subscribed, it became easier to navigate my way around the group. I think we should add "view group calendar" and the website link in this box for all viewers, it might be helpful in their decision to join.
