If there were things in your house that could potentially make your kids sick would you keep them around? Even if they are everyday items that you wouldn't think could make them sick would you still use them?

Just wanted to see if there are things that you couldn't live without even though there could be a risk to your children.

Want to narrow down what you are looking for?

Without question, the biggest danger to my kids is the car. I won't be getting rid of that. No guns in the house so that takes that high danger off the table. Their swingset and the trees in the backyard could definitely hurt them, but give them so much joy.

I know that answer is a bit flippant, but I'm not sure what types of things you are looking at.

I am talking about things

I am talking about things that you or your family use inside your house, maybe not on an everyday basis, but the majority of the time. I understand your car is something that most people cannot live without, but I mean things like Lysol, toothpaste, Pledge...etc.

I know that my wife was a Lysol freak because she thought that disinfecting everything would make our house better for the kids to be in. These are the things I am talking about.

Cleaning products

Hey Gents,,,
All of my cleaning products I keep out in the garage on a top shelf. I'ts a no-kid-zone. I always make sure I rinse well.
Just as a heads up,,, I had a friend of 15 yrs quite talking to me. She got sucked into a multilevel marketing scheme. Seems that they are telling there people that all of our cleaning products are going to kill us via cancer. She freaked and threw it all out. They convinced her that the big companies have so much money,,, they are able to shut the government up. So all us consumers that aren't lucky enough to buy in on there products,,, will be dieing. She is a collage grad and I thought pretty smart,,, but she sure got sold a bill of goods on that one.

For what it's worth,,,,,,

my golf clubs

the kids touch them, very bad for the kids, very dangerous......guns kept locked and out of reach and hidden, seriously though, at 5 and 2 my kids are at point that the most danger to them is each other, the 2 yr old tries to take down the 5 yo all the time....lots of bruises but nothing broken so far...

I understand that there are

I understand that there are companies out there that are scheming to get you to spend hundreds even thousands of dollars on products that are said to be "the best". I have found a company that has products for your kitchen as well as for your body that has no gimmicks. They are more concerned with people being healthy and keeping the risks of illnesses and diseases to a minimum.

I am not trying to sell you guys anything at all and I am not part of a pyramid scheme, I just thought that being a part of this online community was to keep people like myself informed about what is out there.

"I am not part of a pyramid scheme"

The reason that we shouldn't trust you is because you started this thread in a deceptive way. Next time you want to promote your non-pyramid scheme product, don't start a thread in such a way that leads you to pitch us a marketing hoax.

If you aren't trying to sell us, why did you manipulate the conversation in such a way?

Come on. I expect this stuff from the brand new accounts of suspicious origin, but not from the guys who have been around here for a while.

1) Nobody likes being sold cleaning products. Really. Even if they're great.

2) In any event, we don't allow product marketing on the forums. Again, the reason for this is to prevent them from being overrun with sales pitches rather than content that people are interested in.

3) If you'd like to advertise, we have an advertising program. That would be a more appropriate way to get your message out - it helps support the operation of the site without degrading the forums. Contact me if you're interested in that.

4) I have better things to do than to clean up these threads.

5) No more selling here, please.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Webmaster Mike
