Hey guys, I'm new to the site but have been an AHD for about 10 months. Had back surgery in Dec. that the surgeon botched (actually damaged the disc above the one he was working on!!). So other than being an AHD, I have at least two physical therapy appointments a week, not to mention that I find out in two weeks when I have my next surgery. But the way I look at it, it's a perfect example of "every cloud has a silver lining". If I didn't have the problems with my back, I never would have got the opportunity to land the greatest job on the planet.... Stay At Home Dad. Being at home has also given me the chance to work on my writing as well. I even got picked up by a literary agent and it looks like my children's book might get published!!! Anyways, duty calls... or should I say, doody calls.

Welcome Aboard

Glad you found us. Sorry about your back but I have a similar story in that I was hit by a car and broke my back. It sucked real bad, because I had also just lost my job - well I didn't lose it I was canned - and I used the settlement money to live on while I healed and looked for work. Who knows what is good and what is bad. Although my girlfriend of 6 years dumped me a month after the acident. That...yea...that was pretty bad.

Anyhoo, falure to introduce yourself means a 3 point deduction in your DadPoints. :-D

Be Seeing You.

welcome

Welcome to the site; sorry to hear about your back, but glad you're looking at the silver lining.

And congrats on the book. That's really cool! Let us know when and where we can buy it.
