A great way to get the kids out of the house is bowling. We try to go a couple times a month. If you look in your area you should find at least a few alleys that have specials. During the week it's usualy onle a $1 or 2 a game and free shoe rental. A place by me even has free chicken wings and smelt on Sundays!! It's a great and fun way to get out and about... especialy during the week! My two year old even LOVES it!!! Go grab the kids, a ball... and have a ball.

I'll second that

I haven't bowled with my son in a while, but it is indeed always a good outing. He usually ends up spending more time in the arcade than on the lanes, but that's OK. And if all goes well, my wife and I can even suck down a couple of beers while we're there.

Can't wait to teach my one-year-old to roll a strike!

There's nothing better than

There's nothing better than going to the lanes and having a couple hours of cheap, family fun.

Bowling

I'll take my son for his first outing soon and he loves wii bowling (we're going to make the plunge soon and stop mooching off of my brother).

But that's not why I respond.

Did you say "Free chicken wings and SMELT?" Free Smelt Sundays. Good stuff.
