Just got on board.

Sort of a sidenote to the welcome: Love your town, except in July and August when it's hot as hell. San Antone has a couple of my kin, a great children's museum downtown, the Alamo, and a nice overall attitude from the general population. Oh yeah, and welcome to the site. Dave says it all just above.

I checked out your website ([site link removed]) assuming it was a blog or something interesting. Boy was I wrong! I don't know what At Home Dad's policy for redirecting folks to other websites, but if you want us to visit your business site just list it.
For the record....Our policy is that we don't allow use of the site for promoting business sites, products, or services, regardless of whether they are of interest to our members or not. So, actually, if you want us to visit your business, please do not use this site to promote it.
I will allow links to dad-oriented blogs in signatures and profiles that, in my view, are reasonable and related to dads or parenting.
I get inquiries every single day from people who want to pitch stuff on the site. If we didn't have this policy, the site would be overrun by spam and spam-like promotions, and I'm fairly confident that nobody wants that.
If you want to promote your business on the site, please contact us to discuss advertising. This gives your business some good and respectable visibility, gives the site some support, and lets us control the flow of promotion so that it is reasonable rather than overwhelming.
As for the original poster, I had previously contacted him privately to explain the policy. So, no need for any further complaining. I'm glad he's here and I look forward to having him participate on the site.
