Anyone here do laptop repair?

I bought an Acer a few years ago (first mistake), and now I'm having issues. The LCD display starts flickering and fading out. If you smack it just right, it will work for a few minutes before it starts flickering again. When it is just right, it works fine, so I'm thinking something is loose. I've taken off the LCD housing, and I see a green "mother board" looking thing attached to the back. But I don't know what to do from there.

I only paid $250 for the thing, I've already bought a new toshiba, but I hate to toss a good computer just because of a loose wire, and I don't want to spend more than I paid to buy it, to repair it.

Any techies have any ideas?

.

If it has a VGA out port on it, hook an external monitor to it and use it as a desktop.

doing that now

I actually have it hooked to my wife's LCD projector and have been playing flight simulator 2004 on the kitchen wall.

Doesn't do me any good when I need to take it elsewhere though.

Try Altex,

That is if you have them there in your town. They do great work with warranty and are reasonable in cost.
