This is a group for Dads with special needs children to converse and trade stories both good and bad. All special needs are welcome. Food allergies to autism and everything in between.
Izzy's Story

I don't post much due to the fact that, I feel my situation is so different from everyone elses.
Here is a little background
Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome
I am a SAHD to Gabriel, our five year old son. G was diagnosed with Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome which has left him with severe physical and cognitive limitations. He is a wonderful little boy with a smile that lights up the room, and his laugh can make even the must hardened heart cry. I have spent his entire life learning all I can about the rights, services, and advocacy needs of individuals with disabilities (especially children) in North Carolina.
I'm very happy to find this group.
This is why.

Thank you guys for joining up I appreciate your support of the group. This is exactly why I created this group so dad's like us can have someone who understands what we are going though. I have three boys as I said earlier and all of them have a special need of some sort. During the day sometimes I question how long I can stay sane. My boys push my mental capacity to limits I never knew possible. But after it is all said and done I drive myself crazy worrying about them when they are away or asleep.
