Welcome to Northwest (suburban) Illinois Stay-At-Home Dads!
You've just come across an exciting group that's been growing steadily for over 5 years! We provide a litany of activities for you, your kids and the entire family throughout each year. These include, but are not limited to, a weekly playgroup, weekly and monthly DNOs (Dads Nights Out), bi-monthly family gatherings, field trips and much more!
If you are a full- or part-time at-home dad and reside in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, this would be a great social outlet for you and the kids. You'll meet dads from as far north as Antioch and Grayslake to as far south as Glen Ellyn and Elk Grove Village and as far west as Hainesville and Naperville to as far east as Northbrook and Deerfield with most points in between.
You may be saying to yourself that your kids are too young to participate in a playgroup. And if your daughter is under 2 1/2-3 or your son is under 3-3 1/2, then you may be right. Until these age markers, your kids are doing something the doctors and books refer to as "parallel play." But you as an at-home dad also need to socialize during the week (and stretching out your trips to the grocery store so you can talk to the cashiers doesn't count). This group is as much for you as it is for your kids. Don't believe me? Join us and find out for yourself.
So, how does one join Northwest Illinois Stay-At-Home Dads? We are located at:
