Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the group but have been a stay-at-home-dad for about 6 months now. I was interested in meeting up with other dads in the greensboro area. I have a 20 month old son who I'm home with most days. As you probably know, it can be lonely. When we go to the park, there are moms with their kids but no dads. And, as nice as the 25 year-old stay-at-home moms are to look at, we don't have much in common.

Anyone else out there with the same issues?

Hello out there. I am new to this site. My wife and I are expecting our first child in Oct. I will be staying at home a lot as the primary care giver. I work for the Fire Department in the City of Greensboro. My wife is going to work and her mother will keep our child the days I am on duty. I found this site on the baby center website we have been using. I was hoping to meet and network with some other stay at home dads or dads that are the primary care giver. I have a lot of excitement and anxiety about it and feel this site could be a good resource.

Hello North Carolinians..not you CiaAlum. First things first. Go find NC Dads Summit in the groups and let Greg know if you wanna get together with us on May 31. Probably at Greg's since he's putting it all together. Second, I see at least 2 of you are in Winston-Salem. You guys should totally get together and start a local group in town somewhere. I'm in Statesville, so I would come when I could. Getting ahd's together is ridiculously hard, 'cause we all like to just do our own thing. I've tried a couple of times here in Statesville and it's like pulling teeth to get anyone to commit.
