For socials, for support and to answer any questions you may have as a new dad. We may not be able to answer all your questions but we'll at least stand around and scratch our collectives heads with you.
How bout a weekly hang out?
Hey Durham-CH dads - I moved to Carrboro a few months ago from Chicago and am looking to find/start a weekly playgroup. The Chicago group on this site is very active and I had a lot of fun going to parks and museums with those guys last year. I'm sure there are plenty of at-home dads around here but there just doesn't seem to be the same organization. I go to Wilson and Henry Anderson Parks in Carrboro a few times a week and would be happy to create an event for that if people would be into meeting up on a specific day/time each week.

Hello out there. I am new to this site. My wife and I are expecting our first child in Oct. I will be staying at home a lot as the primary care giver. I work for the Fire Department in the City of Greensboro. My wife is going to work and her mother will keep our child the days I am on duty. I found this site on the baby center website we have been using. I was hoping to meet and network with some other stay at home dads or dads that are the primary care giver. I have a lot of excitement and anxiety about it and feel this site could be a good resource.
